This year our Children’s Summer Program was staffed a little differently and, with the program officially ending for the season tomorrow, we’d like to highlight the success of our talented staff of interns. David Asamoah-Duodu, who will be pursuing his doctorate degree in psychology at Rutgers in the Fall, joined us as the Director of the Summer Program and was assisted by Roshini Panicker, a rising high school senior who came highly recommended from the prestigious SEEDS program.
David and Roshini worked hard to plan and implement a variety of educational enrichment activities for our young clients from mid-July to mid-August. The program was available during each lunch service (except Saturdays). New and former volunteers also assisted David and Roshini in making the program engaging and enjoyable for the kids.
Franciscan Charities would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to David and Roshini for their hard work and commitment to the Summer Program– and for being such wonderful role models for many children this summer. Thank you also to our incredible team of volunteers!
